The Bull Shoals Field Station provides a location for faculty, students, and visiting scientists to conduct research and educational programs that promote public awareness of southwest Missouri ecosystems. Missouri State University began operating the station in 1999 through a cooperative agreement between the university, Missouri Department of Conservation, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
