The year 2005 marked the centennial anniversary of Southwest Missouri State University. Southwest Missouri State University has a rich history---one of service, teacher education, and preparing students to be thoughtful and successful citizens in a global society. A highlight of the centennial year was the university's name change to Missouri State University.
