Traditional ballads and songs are a rich part of our Ozarks musical heritage. Many of these songs go back hundreds of years and are often based true events; some of them tragic, others humorous, all of them are entertaining. Singer Judy Domeny Bowen, a lifelong resident of the Ozarks, grew up on a farm singing these songs for entertainment while she worked her daily chores.
